Yesterday you might have noticed I switched the tagline of my blog from “Making money publishing comic books online” to “Becoming a Digital Media Alchemist”. The reasons for the changes are many but the main was is you, my audience and friends.
COMIC BOOK ARTISTS AREN’T THE ONLY ARTIST WHO CAN MAKE MONEY ONLINE
Through my experiences with Kickstarter and my research into how to make money as an independent artist without getting stuck in the world of Freelance I have been approached and asked by many people who are interested in using what I have learned to do the same in a variety of digital media. Film Makers, podcasters, writters, musicians and other media creators can learn from each other and I feel this gives me an opportunity to help more people make money in their choosen media make money online.
What does the new tagline mean for future posts:
- Interviews and Case studies will include individuals outside of the Comic Book industry. Not only will this mean we can learn about how other media forms are over coming obstacles we all face as digital media artist but also provide inspiration for adaptions of one’s choosen media.
- How-to articles will include those in other feilds. This is great since in the current realm of mult-media artst it is important to have variety in our work including presenting our stories and creations in a variety of forms. A great example is my use of creating a video / motion comic in order to promote the Madman of Magic comic book.
- A broader topic will make it easier for me to have a larger selection of blog topics. This makes it easier to write articles and in turn publish more posts (my goal for October is 3 per week).
- I can share stories of my other projects beyond the Comic Book project. These include incomes from AdSense through YouTube (like), this blog (www.jasonloveslife.com), writting articles for info barrel, selling artwork to stock image sites, and more.
Expanding my brand
My hope is with this change I can also expand into the realm of podcasting, publishing more/better video’s, and other suprises along the way. Thanks for being here for this change and I hope you are as excited about it as I am.
