Today is September 14, 2012 and we have less than 17 days before the Madman of Magic Kickstarter campaign ends. This is very exciting as Leah and I will be getting back to producing the comic book next week. For the past 30 days we have been focused only on putting up the Kickstarter page, promotion, updating the page, and being active on Social Media to answer people’s questions.
As a side note: We have gained 1634 views on the Kickstarter promotion trailer in 20 days. Which is outstanding and means people have been sharing this with their friends!!!
What this project means to Leah and me:
For those of you that don’t know my wife and the illustrator for this comic book, Leah Love, is 7 months pregnant with our first child. This is one of the reasons this Kickstarter campaign is so timely. Leah is not eligible for paid time off during her maternity leave so while she is recuperating she will be hard at work completing the Comic Book, sending out your orders, and keeping you updated throughout the process. I want to say thank you for your support in this project. You are both supporting my dream and my family and I cannot thank you enough (I teared up there for a second).
New Rewards:
- $3 backing gets people the .pdf of the comic book and nothing else. These backers do not get their name in the comic book. This is a great backing for someone who just wants to read the comic book and is low on cash (like me).
- $8 backing includes just a physical copy of the comic book. It is not signed because it is sent straight from the printers to the backer. They also do not get their name in the comic book or any other rewards.
- $30 backing is a retailer’s package. It comes with 10 copies of the Madman of Magic Comic Book. It does not include them being signed or getting their name in the Comic Book. But is a great deal for those wanting to sell this comic book.
