A Redtail’s Dream Review

Image from A Redtail's Dream WebcomicNormally when I look at a Webcomic I give it about 5 pages before I decide whether there’s enough reason to go on or give up.  And while I don’t consider the ‘action’ of Redtail’s to have started till about page 19 I’m content to munch on my starter until the meat arrives, especially since the appetizer is so gluttonously beautiful!  The art alone makes this particular work absolutely worthwhile.

The stylized line, the personification of animals, the mythos, it’s captivating and brings me back to a book of Aesop’s fables I’ve had since childhood.  The color schemes are nearly monochromatic but being that they’re softly pleasing I find that I don’t miss the large arbitrary splashes of brightness that other webcomics have.  Besides, each panel has so much variety that there is always something to look at, I especially like when the Fox opens the way to the Bird’s path (sorry!  You’ll have to read it to see it!)  It’s so lovely!

It’s shaping up to be an epic adventure with artwork to match!  Don’t delay, I recommend you dive right in because you’ll agree with me!
