Two Guys and Guy Logo“Two Guys and Guy” follows the daily life of three friends, Wayne, Frank and the girl named Guy.

So far I think that the deadpan Frank is my favorite but of course what’s best about Frank is not just that he’s so funny but that he needs to say the least to get the bigger laugh.  Just the reactions that he gets out of the other two, hilarious!

League of Super Redundant Heroes ImageThe first strip of LoSRH sure does attract the eye.  Our first Super Redundant Hero intro belongs to Distracterella, oh, boy.  Does she distract!  Quick!  Flip to the second strip and prepare to mop up the drool!  Okay, set aside the brunette bimbo and take a gander at the totally chortle worthy writing.  Here is an excerpt from the backstory of our super villain ‘Evil Savant.’

Edwin Porkington was once known as the highest educated mentally disabled person in America.  With a Ph.D. in hugs and a masters in petting dogs too hard… But one fateful day Tummytubbies was cancelled…  That day Edwin Porkington died…  And the Evil Savant was born!”

Byron Wilkins’ Advice for New Artist:

Legostar Galactica LogoOkay, at first I took one look at the strip and thought, this is an adult male nerd who has waaaaay too many toys; but now I’m bowing to the subtle genius of D.M. Jeftinija.

Legostar Galactica is kind of what it sounds like, a space adventure involving Legos.  I wondered if the rather non-emotive nature of Legos would get in the way but I find that Jeftinija has a natural knack for directing physical humor out of lumps of yellow plastic.  And if it’s not that then maybe I’m just a huge sucker for ‘red-shirt’ death jokes.

I like it!

nimona banner

The thing I noticed about the first two panels of Nimona is how quickly and efficiently it set the mood of the strip.  The variation of line and tone are simple and yet somehow combine to provide me with the knowledge that we are now in some sort of super- nefarious lair, and Nimona is not at all afraid of it.

I have to say how much I like her right away, I’m not even half way through the comic but I do admire her.  Maybe it has to do with her expressions, her quirky sense of humor, her trauma based rage, or maybe it’s because she’s not another busty waif with oodles of wavy hair and pouted lips that are just sure to create sexual tension. No, Nimona’s not like that, she has character.

wEvilThis Webcomic is such a successful combination of saccharine cuteness and diabolical crudeness that I am somehow glued to my computer screen, endlessly clicking ‘next’ until I thought that I should probably stop and write something so I could let you all know why you should be reading this.

Initially when you see these bears with their baby-cuteness, i.e. large head, huge shiny eyes and cutely colored fur with care-bear like pictographs of their monikers tattooed on their stomachs.  Like the pill capsule on Prozac bear’s tummy.

These pseudo-care bears’ names?  Prozac, Death, Lech, Evil, Tanked, Gay, Crack, Nerd, Vanity and Gimp Bear.  To somebody who hasn’t already read Bear Nuts… don’t cha just wanna? Normally I don’t find myself jumping to to hawk a Webcomic with so much lechery in it but… c’mon… its like the South Park of the Zoo world!
