Reading Experiment

Reading Axe Cop

I was listening to a podcast (can’t remember the podcast) where the interviewee (can’t remember his name) was talking about how he reads a book a week. He just schedules a specific number of pages per day, does it before noon, and has been doing this for over a year.

My Challenge

My challenge to myself is to accomplish what this man has been doing. My goal is to read a minimum of 52 books over the course of the next 52 weeks. It is obviously do-able.

The question is, can I stick with it?

Graphic Novels

The only problem I do see is that I would like to also read graphic novels instead of just fiction and non-fiction. To overcome the feeling that reading a graphic novel is not the same as a regular book, I will instead attempt to read 26 books and 52 graphic novels.

In other words, I count each graphic novel as half a book. Forcing me to read two graphic novels in a week every other week… If that makes sense.

Follow Along

I will try and use this post as a location to update my list.
