We’re still puttering along with the niche site and the back linking strategy.

To be honest, I will be glad when it is all over.  I guess this is why everyone says choose something you love.  While I don’t mind doing articles on pregnancy and pregnant woman’s health, it is hard for me to get excited about it.

The only thing keeping me working on this niche site is:

What do I do with my lifeNot sure if this is the kind of stuff people want to read, but I know I am always interested in hearing others have the same problems as me and learning how they over come them.  I hope that by writing articles like this and continuing to create the Madman of Magic Comic Book I will find an answer for myself.  More importantly, I hope it helps those of you who are also struggling with making a decision of what to dedicate your life to.

Life Choices

To be honest, I think about my career constantly and have done this for a good chunk of my life.  I recently looked through an old journal from Middle School and even then I wanted to be a Magician (which I am), biologist, chemist, in the military, stuntman, screen play writer, and others.  These are all careers I mentioned wanting when I was in 7th grade.

Today I have a better idea of what I want to do with my life because of my experiences, but I still struggle with this question.  In this article I hope to share with you my journey through this struggle.

After High School

It has been a busy week here at the Love Family Household.  Leah is Coming into her last month of pregnancy and we should have little Everett to take care of some time this month.  We are hoping that if we can crack the Online Marketing Business Code we can spend all our time at home or traveling with our child and possibly make some more children if everything goes well.

Even if we can get our niche site to make us a good part time income we would be happy.  Leah can continue to work at UPS part time (which provides us with Insurance) and I can continue doing magic shows part time.

So, lets see where we are in this Niche Site Journal.

Getting Indexed

We have finally confirmed that we are indexed with Google.  We launched the blog 3 weeks ago, but we waited till 2 weeks ago to use the WordPress SEO PlugIn to register with Google and other search engines.  With article spinning I have found that we already rank on the first page of bing.com, but I am not sure yet on Google or Yahoo.  I am still trying to figure out how to use Market Samurai‘s Rank Tranker tool, but I should have our rankings by next weeks post.

We did try a web tool at http://www.tools4google.com/search-google-position/keyword_tracking.php.  It showed 0 results, but is limits search to the top 1000 positions of a particular keyword on Google.

It's a Boy

A Halloween Trick.

My wife is due on November 24th (less than a month away) so I posted these photos on facebook as a joke.

As you can imagine it caused a little confusion but I found it entertaining if anything else.  I guess this is what happens when I spend too much time in the office alone.

I assume some of you would enjoy the Halloween joke.

The image on the left was originally from me holding my niece while visiting family several years ago.  The big baby body was from an image of one of the biggest baby’s ever born (I found it on the internet).  The face is my best friend Jeff Lang.

I used photoshop to create it.  The image at the bottom of the page I animated once for a video about myself I created for my youtube channel several years ago.  You can see it here.

What I should have done was put a caption in the image like all those memes people are using on facebook with my website at the bottom. Since I already posted it, I probably will not do that.  Also, because it is so personal and created for my friends that know who I am and what Jeff looks like it might not be as funny to those that don’t know Jeff or me personally.

At the very least I hope you enjoy it.

You can see the facebook image and comments HERE

Why does my baby look like my best friend?

I received this email 14 days after the success of my campaign and a few days after the funds were placed into my bank account.  I wanted to share this with you for those interested in starting, in the middle of, or have just completed a Kickstarter campaign.

The email from Kickstarter campaign

Congratulations on your successfully funded Kickstarter project! As you dive into the next stage of your project, we’ve put together a few tips to help you along the way:

1. Stay connected with backers
Respond to comments, questions, and messages, and use project updates to keep backers in the loop. Your backers will love getting the inside scoop on your project’s latest developments.

2. Send out reward surveys
Send out your surveys when you’re ready to collect all the info you need to deliver

Last week we received the Kickstarter funding in our amazon account; which means we can start ordering prints for all of the cool rewards purchased by our backers. T-shirt, posters, and stickers have been put into their appropriate file format and sent off to the various printers. Once the proofs are finalized we just wait to get the final products in the mail. Their has been some revisions on the script for the comic.  We are in the process of creating new images and reorganizing the panels for each page.
