I was headed home today from the Wisconsin Film Festival.

Man in giant grass. While driving, I was thinking about the grass next to the highway. Then I started to think how the grass I was speeding past is made up of small individual blades of grass.

Each blade of grass is an individual. From my point of view, the grass is more or less the same, but that is from my perspective. The reality is that each blade is a living organism. An individual.

A Man and his Dragon
As I mentioned yesterday, I am adding some work and subtracting others.

I am currently in the process of relaunching this blog. At the same time, I’m consolidating the sites that I have dormant.

As the number of blogs I had been working on increased, I had less time to work on each. By dropping the number from six to two, I can focus my time on things that will help grow my blogs.

All the blogs I am working on:
Jason Loves Life (this site)
CompulsiveCreative.com
Niche Site Journal
Business Management Degree Hq
OnMaternityBelts.com
Madman of Magic (Comic Book)

Life / Creative

Behind the scenes of this blog (which seemed just to be sitting) has been a struggle. Being an entrepreneur is hard. For indecisive creative types who suffer from a variety of anxieties, running a business of any kind can become debilitating.

The result of fear is this blog (and my others) going untouched for the last year.

This is about to end.

The year 2015 is approaching. My world is changing. As I write this, I have a 3-month-old laying next to me & a 2-year-old sleeping in his crib.

All the lights are off, but the glow from the Christmas tree and computer screen are keeping me company.

Looking back over the past 12 months, I see that 2014 was an exciting year for myself and my family.

  • Let go from my job.
  • I started a new blog.
  • Sold my first online product.

All these things are moving me towards a successful online business.

Changes

The plan is to take many posts from this site. Then pull all the articles from my other web sites and mix them together into one big site around the topic of creativity.

As I look through my archives, I realize creativity is something that threads through all my writing. Thus, it only makes sense for me to create my business around that subject.

The specifics I am still working on, but I am excited for this change and for all the fun projects I will be working on around it.

107% funded on Kickstarter100% Funded!

Thank you for helping us get to this point and getting us to where ever we end up.

To celebrate my wife and I are going to eat cookies till we pass out. I recommend you do the same or something similar.

Thank you!

I want to thank everyone for the encouragement. And especially thank those that backed the project.

Before launching, I was worried people wouldn’t be interested in the project. I have been talking about doing this Kickstarter for over a year… The amount of support and encouragement I’ve received makes me wonder why I waited so long.

Your excitement gets me excited.

What’s Next?

We did it, we launched the campaign.

A quick look at our progress so far:
  • At 3 hours into the campaign, we were 16% funded.
  • 24 hours into the campaign, we were 64% funded.
  • 48 hours into the campaign, we are 81% funded.

It has been an exciting few days!

I would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped spread the word about the campaign. Without the help from everyone, we would not be this far along already.

We are getting excited as we come closer & closer to our funding goal.

Animation-A-Day

I also wanted to mention that we are posting two animated videos daily. One of those videos is from one of the many workshops I have put on. With these videos, I also mention the age to the students and time it took to make the videos.
