A podcast on the business side of WebComics

In this session of The Jason Loves Life Podcast, I’m excited to have a chat with the co-founder of Checker Book Publishing Group and owner of Devil’s Due Digital,

Mark Thompson

Devil Due Digital focuses on the digital end of comic book publishing and has such famous titles as X-Files, Star Trek, Hell Raiser, Dr. Seuss, and more.

 In this episode we cover:

-What is the best digital platform/store to sell digital comics.

-Should you print your comic or just sell digitally.

-Does a college degree help in the Comic Industry.

-Why Mark has his Kickstarter campaign set for 60 days instead of the 30 days Kickstarter recommends.

I am excited to see DC comic in Kindle, iTunes, and Nook market.  So much so that I have decided to do a post and a video.  I cover the same material in the video and the post, however,I get a little long winded and the editing gets a little weird, but if you would rather watch that I figure you can choose.

Are you ready to stop going to the comic book shop every Wednesday for your fix of  Justice LeagueBat Girl, Green Lantern. Besides the fact no one reads Bat Girl, you will soon be able to pick them up without leaving the house… Sweet, that means I never have take off my pajamas or put on real shoes.

DC Entertainment (the mother ship of DC Comics, Vertigo, and MAD) announced today it will be launching their entire line of comic books for download from the Kindle Store, iBookstore and NOOK.

DC Entertainment is the top comic book publisher in the United States and now the only comic book publisher to bring their full line up of comic book properties to the major e-book store platforms.

Why is DC Comics Now Available on Kindle, iTunes, Nook?
