I received this email 14 days after the success of my campaign and a few days after the funds were placed into my bank account.  I wanted to share this with you for those interested in starting, in the middle of, or have just completed a Kickstarter campaign.

Congratulations on your successfully funded Kickstarter project!As you dive into the next stage of your project, we’ve put together a few tips to help you along the way:

1. Stay connected with backers
Respond to comments, questions, and messages, and use project updates to keep backers in the loop. Your backers will love getting the inside scoop on your project’s latest developments.

2. Send out reward surveys
Send out your surveys when you’re ready to collect all the info you need to deliver

When I got a backer through Kickstarter, I would receive an email that looks like this:

John Doe is your new backer!

Amount pledged: $10.00 to “MADMAN OF MAGIC: The Beginning of the End”
Reward: You will receive a physical copy of “MADMAN OF MAGIC: The Beginning of the End” signed by Leah and me mailed to your door + an EXCLUSIVE downloadable PDF copy + a hearty “Thank You!” on the inside back cover of the finished comic.
Estimated delivery: Dec 2012

$1,088.03 is currently pledged toward the $500.00 goal.

Tip! Keep your backers engaged by posting updates. Every time you post an update, your backers get notified by email.

During the first 2 weeks of the campaign, every time I got one of these emails I would go to my social media and thank the backer by first name.  I didn’t use their last name in case people would use that information to try and spam the person for their own project.  I stopped doing this towards the end only because I was busy trying to promote the project more.  Also, I lost track of who I had and hadn’t thanked.

ACCESSING FUNDS

Amazon is now processing the transactions for your project; your funds will be available 14 days after the transactions are charged. At that point, you can request to withdraw the funds from your Amazon Payments account:

Need info from your backers to fulfill rewards? No problem! When you’re ready to deliver rewards, you can easily request and track whatever info you need using Backer Reports. Select the reward tier you want to query, specify the info you need (address, T-shirt size,
